Megan reviewing proofs of Laura Monroe-Duprey’s original artwork

Megan Cook was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, and was encouraged in the arts from a young age. By the time she was in high school, Megan had taken an interest in photography, and began taking classes in the subject through the Art League of Alexandria.

In 2006, Megan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Photography from Drexel University’s College of Media Arts and Design in Philadelphia, PA. While working on her degree, Megan discovered her strength in understanding color theory, and has used color as a predominant theme in her work.

Since graduating, Megan has spent much of her career working to digitize collections for museums and libraries, including the Department of Image Collections at the National Gallery of Art, Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection, and Wesleyan University’s Davison Art Center.

After brief forays into freelance and real estate photography, Megan is pleased to be at Old Town Editions, and back in the realm of fine art work.
