At Old Town Editions we pride ourselves on using only the highest quality materials. We are a Hahnemuhle Certified Gold Studio and offer a range of Hahnemuhle’s finest papers. Our materials have been tested and proven to last 100+ years without fading or discoloration. Our paper and canvas options are made by industry leaders with an established quality and reliability history.
Canvas:
Breathing Color Lyve Fine Art Canvas
19mil, 450gsm poly-cotton fine art canvas. Archival Certified, OBA-free. With eye-popping color gamut and dmax coupled with critical archival certification, it sets a new standard of exceptionalism in fine art and photographic printmaking. The award-winning Lyve™ Canvas is a 19 mil bright white, consistent poly-cotton blend matte canvas using an acid-free, neutral pH coating. Unlike 99% of available fine art canvas products on the market today (for giclee printing), this is an optical brightener additive-free (i.e No OBA’s are used in this product) and fluorescent whitening agent-free canvas.
Canvas Finishing Touches
Our canvas prints are spray-coated with varnish for an even, protective coating. We use Breathing Color’s Timeless Varnish, which pairs perfectly with their Lyve canvas. Three finishes are available: matte, satin, and gloss. All options are archival, and protect the surface of your canvas prints from damage and dirt.
We also offer canvas stretching services for our canvas prints and use hardwood stretcher bars from CMI Moulding & Decor Moulding. We custom cut and assemble our stretcher bars in house, ensuring your print fits perfectly on the frame.
Paper:
Hahnemuhle German Etching 310 gsm
310 gsm mould made, acid free etching paper, with the smoothest surface in the art line range making it ideal for images which are highly detailed and photographic imagery. Also, as the name suggests a surface similar to an etching paper which will also reproduce traditional fine art prints excellently. The printed side of this paper has been specially coated for excellent image sharpness and optimum color graduation. The coating also offers a very high level of water resistance. Perfect for fine art reproduction. This is our most popular paper. A very diverse paper that is a good candidate for most digital prints and reproductions. This paper has a fine tooth.
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Bright White 310 gsm
310 g/m2 An age-resistant smooth bright white 100% rag-based paper specifically designed to meet the needs of photographers or artists using digital photographic output. The heavier 310 gsm paper provides the weight of an art paper with a smooth calendered surface, which picks up every detail captured in the photograph. The coated side of this paper provides excellent image sharpness and optimum color graduation. The coating also offers a very high level of water resistance. Common applications include: Photographic and fine art reproduction and it is also ideal for computer-generated artwork. The smooth surface structure of Photo Rag can be used for many different applications. This quality – 100% rag – is especially ideal for archival printing of black & white and color photographs. This is a very smooth paper with a very high white point. Black and white or extremely vivid and strong-colored photographs are stunning on this surface.
Hahnemuhle Museum Etching 350 gsm · 100% Cotton · Natural White
Guarantees archival standards. The etching paper features a distinct textured surface. With its premium matte inkjet coating, this paper meets the highest industry standards regarding density, color gamut, color gradation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper. Photographic and fine art reproduction complying with the highest archival standards, digital art, B&W and color photography, limited edition prints, presentation prints for the display purposes, and exhibitions.
Hahnemuhle Bamboo 290 gsm · 90% Bamboo fibre · 10% Cotton · Natural White
A natural white paper with a smooth surface texture. With its premium matte inkjet coating Bamboo meets the highest industry standards regarding density, color gamut, color graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper. Compatible with pigmented and dye inkjet systems. Bamboo is the world’s first digital fine art inkjet paper made from bamboo fibres. Bamboo represents spirituality, naturalness and resource-saving paper production. Particularly suitable for warm-toned color and monochrome giclee prints, Bamboo really highlights the sensuality of images. This is a perfect fit for botanical paintings created on a natural white paper.

Designed for photographers seeking to enhance their images with a metallic look, Slickrock Metallic Pearl 260 transforms an image into life like, almost 3D quality. Black & White images shine on this new paper producing deep dark blacks and ultra-bright highlights. The paperʼs high gloss and unique sheen make this ideal for everyday prints with a twist.
Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper 250 gsm
Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper offers the highest gloss level of any Epson resin coated photographic paper. Producing vivid life-like images that rival those of traditional silver halide prints, the ultra glossy finish, coupled with a 10 mil thickness an extremely wide color gamut, make this paper a favorite among discerning photographers. Its instant drying and non-cockling characteristics make use, handling, and display of the finished output trouble-free. It creates highly saturated prints by offering maximum ink coverage and high D-max for true photographic reproductions. This paper can also be easily laminated to provde protection from light and moisture.

Hahnemuhle Rice Paper 100 gsm · 100% g-Cellulose · white laid finished paper
Guarantees archival standards. With its premium matte inkjet coating Rice Paper meets the highest industry standards regarding density, color gamut, color graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper. Compatible with pigmented and dye inkjet systems. This laid-finished paper is designed for fine art reproductions of Asian ink paintings (Sumi-e) and maps. It gives each print the appearance and significance of an original ink drawing or antique map.

Somerset Velvet 308 gsm
Somerset Velvet is an exquisite inkjet paper perfect for high quality photography and fine art reproduction. Crisp and vibrant images are achievable, while still retaining the subtleties and beauty of an authentic artist paper. The surface of the paper becomes an inherent part of the finished print, without overwhelming the image, but adding a fine art element to the composition. Mould made in England by St. Cuthbert’s Mill of 100% cotton, neutral pH; acid free; buffered with calcium carbonate for protection from contaminants.
Arches Cold or Hot Press 380 gsm / 140 LB
Manufactured in the same French mill since 1492, Arches watercolor fine art papers are produced on a cylinder mould with pure artesian well water, cotton fibers and natural gelatin sizing to stand up to artists’ most rigorous demands. Durable Arches paper is versatile, too, as well suited to acrylics, gouache, printmaking and digital printing as it is to watercolor. Offered in an exceptional choice of sizes, forms and surface textures to suit wide creative preferences. Arches adds another dimension of beauty to any artistic expression.
